Children’s Day in Korea
A day in Korea to respect children and make happy memories together.
How did it begin?
A major Children’s Day celebration took place on May 1, 1923, as part of Korea’s movement to respect children. After liberation, the date was fixed to May 5 in 1946 to avoid the inconvenience of a changing date.
