PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy Policy

1. Scope and principles

This policy applies to the WhatDay365 website, Apps in Toss, and Android app. You can browse observances without signing up or logging in. Only information needed to provide features is used. Personal events and favorites are not sent to the operator’s servers or synced to an account.

2. Information stored on your device and its purpose

Personal event names, dates and recurrence settings, favorites, display language, calendar preferences and Android notification settings are stored on your device to provide these features. Offline browsing and widgets use stored public observance data. Android notifications use public observance data. Personal dates are excluded from public listings, notifications, and widgets.

3. Inquiries, reports, and external communications

Reports are received only when you send them from your email app. 웹연구소 processes the sender’s email address, name, message, and attachments to respond to inquiries and reports. The legal basis is handling user requests under Article 15(1)(4) of Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act. Emails are retained in Gmail for up to three months after resolution. Please do not send unnecessary personal information or sensitive information about others. When you access the service, hosting and platform providers may process connection information such as IP addresses for content delivery and security.

4. Retention and deletion

Information on your device is retained until you delete it or app or browser data is removed. You can edit, delete, or reset personal events in the management screen and remove favorites individually. Clearing app or browser data may remove stored information. Turning off notifications alone does not delete all settings. You must delete exported backups separately. Inquiry emails are deleted from the mailbox and trash within three months of resolution. Where retention is legally required, information is kept separately only for the required scope and period.

5. Backup, restore, and sharing

At your request, personal events and favorites are exported as a file or text. Android notification settings are included if selected. Backup files are not encrypted. Please check where you save them and who you share them with. During restoration, the content is checked on your device and merged with existing information. Backups are not automatically uploaded to the operator’s servers. When you choose sharing, copying, or external links, the receiving apps or services may process information under their own policies.

6. Third-party disclosure, outsourcing, and international transfers

The operator does not collect personal events or favorites stored on your device for disclosure to third parties. Cloudflare, Inc. provides hosting for content delivery and security. Inquiry emails are received and stored in Google’s Gmail. Details of processing abroad by external services, including countries, data categories, retention periods, and legal bases, will be added after the operating contracts have been reviewed.

7. Automatic storage, analytics, and advertising

The website, Apps in Toss, and Android app use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to collect access and usage statistics, including a value identifying the environment (web, toss, android). Google Analytics may use cookies and other identifiers. The service itself does not use login cookies. You can restrict storage or delete information in your browser’s site data settings, but this may limit storage and offline features. Toss banner ads may appear in Apps in Toss where advertising is configured and supported. Data categories, retention periods, and opt-out methods for advertising will be added after the advertising terms have been reviewed.

8. Rights of users and legal representatives

You can view, edit, delete, and back up information on your device. For information held by the operator, you may contact the privacy address to exercise legal rights, including access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, and withdrawal of consent. Representatives may submit requests with evidence of their authority. The operator verifies the requester’s identity or authority and responds under applicable law, explaining any grounds for restriction. The operator cannot remotely access, edit, or recover information stored only on your device.

9. Children’s information and safeguards

We do not require age, date of birth, or legal representative information for registration. Before collecting personal information of children under 14 based on consent, we will establish a legal representative consent process. We limit external transmission of personal events and check files during restoration to reduce unnecessary processing. Please also lock your device and store backup files securely.

10. Privacy inquiries and remedies

Privacy inquiries and rights requests can be sent to 웹연구소 at the email address below. You can also seek privacy advice or report concerns through Korea’s Privacy Portal (privacy.go.kr), or request mediation from the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (kopico.go.kr).

11. Changes to this policy

This policy takes effect on October 3, 2026. If data categories, purposes, or external services change, we will post the changes and effective date on this page and obtain consent or provide separate notice when required by law.
