1. Purpose and scope

These terms set out the conditions of use and the rights and obligations of the operator of WhatDay365 and its users. They apply to the website, Apps in Toss, and Android app. The operator and contact details are listed below.

2. Services provided

WhatDay365 lets you browse and search dates, descriptions, and sources for solar-calendar and Korean lunar-calendar observances, solar terms, and folk traditions. It provides favorites, personal event management, data backup and restoration, and sharing. Android supports on-device notifications and home screen widgets. Features may vary by platform and device. There is currently no registration, login, or paid checkout. Carrier or external service charges may apply separately.

3. Starting and stopping use

You can use the service without an account and stop at any time. Clearing device data or uninstalling the app may erase stored information, so back up anything you need beforehand. Using the service alone does not constitute consent to additional collection of personal information or disclosure to third parties.

4. Checking dates and information

Today’s date is based on your device’s local date. Korean lunar conversion, solar terms, and folk traditions have supported year ranges, and dates outside them may be unavailable. An observance is not necessarily a public holiday. Information may change due to temporary holiday or election designations, legal changes, or updates to source material. For important plans, check the listed sources and official announcements. We review reported errors before deciding on corrections and do not guarantee the inclusion of particular information or response times.

5. Device storage, backups, and notifications

Personal events, favorites, and settings are stored on your device. Account-based automatic syncing and server recovery are not provided. An internet connection is required to receive public observance data for the first time; afterward, stored data can be viewed offline. You choose backup files and sharing recipients. Android notifications may be delayed or fail to appear depending on permissions, power saving, device time, and operating system conditions. Do not rely on them as your only reminder for essential events.

6. User responsibilities

You must not infringe others’ privacy, copyright, or other rights, or disrupt the service through malware, abnormal bulk requests, or similar actions. Provide verifiable information in reports and omit unnecessary personal information. The operator may restrict problematic requests only as needed to prevent legal violations or service disruptions and will reassess the need for restrictions when the cause is resolved.

7. Content and external services

Rights to the service’s logo, design, and authored content belong to the operator or their respective rights holders. We claim no exclusive rights to public facts or dates themselves. External materials are subject to their sources’ terms of use. You do not transfer rights in personal events you enter to the operator. External services, including sharing, external links, and Apps in Toss advertising, are also subject to their own terms and policies.

8. Service changes and liability

The operator works to correct errors and provide a stable service. Maintenance, outages, or changes to external platforms may change or interrupt the service. Planned significant changes and termination will be announced in advance within the service, with notice afterward in urgent cases. The operator and users are liable under applicable law for damage attributable to them. Providing a free service does not exclude all of the operator’s legal liability or limit users’ statutory rights.

9. Changes to terms and dispute resolution

Changes to these terms will be announced in advance within the service, including the reasons, details, and effective date. Material changes unfavorable to users will be announced with sufficient time for review, and separate consent will be obtained where required by law. Silence alone is not treated as consent. Inquiries and disputes should first be discussed through the operator’s contact address. Unresolved disputes follow the procedures and court jurisdiction established by applicable law. Korean law applies without excluding mandatory consumer protections applicable to users.

10. Document basis and effective date
