Earth-mute day

A customary day-pillar designation referenced for various activities alongside heaven-deaf days.

How did it begin?

The name 地啞日 evokes an earth that does not speak. Seontaek Giyo gives ten pillars the same customary uses as heaven-deaf days and preserves both lists despite their unclear origins. It does not determine personal fortune or actual luck.

A little more to discover

The public calendar provides dates for 2020–2050. The original list includes 辛亥 days and may coincide with other designations such as great void days.

Calculation rules

A day is marked when its pillar matches the list below from Nam Byeong-gil’s Seontaek Giyo (1867), lower volume. It repeats every 60 days independently of the lunar day or solar-term month, and may coincide with other designations. Published event data provides occurrences for 2020–2050. This differs from the lunar and day-pillar conversion range below; years absent from the published calendar are not added to occurrence lists. WhatDay365 uses the device’s local date, changing the day at midnight (00:00). Lunar and day-pillar conversion supports Gregorian dates 1000-02-13 through 2050-12-31; dates outside this range are not estimated.
