Month break (月破)

A Korean folk custom used when choosing dates for moving or major events.

A traditional date-selection classification of twelve day spirits, including Azure Dragon and Bright Hall, into six auspicious yellow-path spirits and six inauspicious black-path spirits. The solar-term month and day branches determine the spirit.

A month that changes at solar terms such as the start of spring, rather than on the first day of a lunar month. It is used with the day’s traditional name to calculate date-selection information.
